The Simple truth
28th November 2004
First and foremost, James Weston will be performing again at
Simple in
Oxford on 4th December. Cowley Road’s The Bullingdon and its back room venue plays
host as usual, every first Saturday of the month, and James will be playing
alongside residents, Em Williams (Sister in Sound) and Sean Holbrook. Simple celebrated its
fifth Birthday last month with
Sir Norman Jay at the helm,
and recently has had the likes of Tula (Stompa Phunk) and
Normski on deck
duty. A successful sound in House music for Oxford, Simple promises to deliver
the goods again and again when Tom Findlay (Groove Armada) and
Nicky Blackmarket grace
the turntables early next year. James Weston is delighted with his upcoming
second appearance at Simple’s main night and commented, “I’m very pleased to’ve been given another opportunity to play for
Simple, it’s a great
atmosphere down there. Actually, I’ve been working with them behind the scenes
for a good few months now and hope to be working very closely with them in
future. Everyone puts a lot of love into the night and it shows!”
We’d like to apologise to all the regular visitors about the lack of updates to this website. In a way, it’s reflected by a slight gap in James’ commitment as he focuses attention on some important life issues, like finding a place to live and er... women! However, the show goes on; a new mix will be available very soon and there will be some previously unreleased DJ mixes from the vault posted soon as well! Comments welcome :-)
